The Cottage

A delightful holiday cottage situated near the village of Wooler in Northumberland.

The cottage provides an ideal base from which to explore this beautiful and diverse county. You are welcome to bring up to two well-behaved dogs with you, but please let us know when you are booking. WiFi, coal and logs for the fire and a full selection of linen and towels are provided.

Living Room

A comfortable country living space with open fire (coal and logs provided).

The room is part of the original, traditional stone-built cottage with thick walls and quality, heavy curtains. A really cosy room to snuggle up in after a long day of exploring or relaxing if the weather is less than appealing.

Sun Room

Enjoy the fabulous views of the Northumberland countryside from the comfort of this comfortable room.

A well-sized dining table makes a great base to enjoy meals all together, and the panoramic views across the Glendale valley offer an ever-changing vista, whatever the weather.

Kitchen

The kitchen is a modern extension to the cottage and is extremely well-equipped with a fridge/freezer, washing machine and dryer and an electric hob and oven.

A great array of pots, pans and kitchen essentials mean you’ll never be short, whatever your culinary ambitions and the dishwasher removes the inevitable arguments as to whose turn it is to do the dishes.

Kingsize Bedroom

A comfortable and well decorated bedroom with a kingsized bed which will be freshly made for your arrival.

A good selection of wardrobe and drawer space to keep your holiday attire crease-free and there are fine views of the hills from the window.

Single/Twin Bedroom

A small, but perfectly formed, single bedroom which can be extended to a twin for two to share.

Again, good drawer and hanging space for your holiday wardrobe.

Bathroom

Part of the modern extension to the original cottage, the bathroom includes walk-in shower space.

All towels are supplied freshly laundered for your arrival, and there is a heated towel rail with night storage heater.

Outside

There is off-road parking for one car and an enclosed garden with patio area ideal for a barbecue and a beer or glass of wine at the end of a summer’s day.

Views over the Glendale valley and the hills beyond. We are also located in a designated Dark Sky area, so don’t forget to wrap up and be amazed at the magical planets and stars on show once the sun has set.
